On November 8 Americans Will Decide Whether To Rescue The Bankers Or The Consumer

The author is a leading Russian economist, publicist, and TV and radio host. ( Wikipedia - Russian only ) Sometimes referred to as the "Russian Paul Krugman", he writes prolifically, and has a very large audience in Russia. His articles typically receive hundreds of thousands of views. He is known for explaining complex economic ideas in clear terms non-specialists can understand. He is a former senior economist in the presidential administration and a frequent speaker at international conferences. Recently, the Fed decided not to change interest rates. Various reasons were given, but as we know, there are two “parties” in the US, one which favors monetary easing, and the other, tightening, and each has arguments for their case. Economists are divided on how to proceed. They disagree on precisely this: which economic policies can facilitate growth in our times? A brief look at the last 50 years provides some context. In the 70s, household incomes fell, most of all...

A Vote for Hillary Clinton Is a Vote for War with Russia and China

History speaks volumes about what is likely to happen when we challenge Russia or China within their traditional spheres of influence If you believe United States presidential wars with Russia and China (not declared by Congress) are necessary to fulfill a divine mission to bring freedom, justice, dignity, and civilization to the Russian and Chinese peoples, then you should vote for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. If you believe like former Democratic Secretary of State Dean Acheson that “[i]n the final analysis, the United States is the locomotive of mankind and the rest of the world the caboose,” an arrogance that begot the gruesome Vietnam War, then you should vote for Hillary Clinton. Her bellicose, jingoistic foreign policy views bugled in a speech before the American Legion on August 31, 2016 confirms that her presidency would bow to Mars (the God of War), not to Minerva (the Goddess of Wisdom). Ms. Clinton sermonized that America is an “exce...

Bill Gates Is No Longer The World’s Richest Person, This Man Is

mancio Ortega, the founder of the clothing line Zara, has replaced Bill Gates as the world’s richest person. Ortega and Gates switched the top position in a matter of a few minutes. Currently, Ortega is ahead with a net worth of $78 billion. The road to becoming the world’s richest person is full of ups and downs. The last few days have witnessed two billionaires going through those ups and downs to sit on the throne and become the world’s richest person. One the of them is Bill Gates, a name synonymous to the title “World’s Richest Person”. The second one is the co-founder of Zara retail clothing line, Amancio Ortega, whose dramatic stock performance made him climb the world’s billionaires list leaving behind Gates, Buffett, Bezos, and Zuckerberg in the below positions. Zara’s parent company Inditex’s 2.5% rise on Wednesday made Ortega surpass Bill Gates to become the richest man. The shares dropped by 2.8% on Friday, Ortega fell on to the second position and Gates took the lead...

Clinton Versus Trump on War with Russia

The biggest difference between the two major-Party U.S. Presidential candidates is that Hillary Clinton wants to continue the Obama-Administration’s policy of regime-change in nations that aren’t hostile towards Russia (such as Iraq, Libya, Ukraine and now Syria), and that Donald Trump doesn’t. Trump wants to focus U.S. national-security policies instead upon eliminating jihadists (a problem that the U.S. and Saudi governments actually gave birth to in Pakistan and Afghanistan starting in 1979, in order to cripple the Soviet Union — which ended in 1991). Trump says that the Cold War is over , but Hillary says «Russia must pay a price». However, neither candidate has provided any fleshed-out position on the matter. Hillary Clinton doesn’t need to do so, because she has already shown by her actions in public office, that she has consistently favored overthrowing heads-of-state who were either neutral or else downright friendly toward Russia, of which there have been four cases that...

FBI: Hillary’s Crooked Aide and Lawyer Cheryl Mills Destroyed Evidence

According to the recently released FBI report on Hillary’s server investigation, the FBI found evidence that Hillary’s crooked aide and lawyer Cheryl Mills destroyed evidence and committed obstruction of justice. Despite the evidence, the FBI has done absolutely nothing. In an interview with the New York Post, Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton said the FBI saw massive document destruction and intent to withhold material evidence by Cheryl Mills, but did nothing and ignored the evidence and even let Mills sit in on Hillary’s interview as one of Hillary’s lawyers. Mills ultimately decided which emails of Hillary’s were “personal” and which were “work-related.” “The smoking gun is on page 16 of the FBI’s 47-page report. It details how Mills ultimately made the determinations about which emails should be preserved before she and Clinton decided to delete the rest as “personal.” Paul Sperry writes. “It’s absolutely outrageous, the FBI saw massive document destruction and clear intent to wit...

Trumpillary War Machine Is Bad News

I was fortunate enough to view a screening of the new Snowden movie Wednesday evening with some of the whistleblowers who have cameos in it and with its director Oliver Stone. I’m not allowed to review it until Saturday night, but it is a truly great movie and has the potential to be the most widely seen, heard, or read thing of any political decency or truth in the world this year. That’s not, however, why I’m glad I saw it. I’m glad I watched Snowden because it gave me an extra several hours of living on earth without having yet seen the NBC special on the Trumpillary war machine, in which first Hillary Clinton and then Donald Trump promised NBC they’d wage plenty of wars. Earlier, on Wednesday I had posted this on my Facebook page: Here are a few of my favorite facts that you will not learn tonight from NBC, Donald Trump, or Hillary Clinton: Nonviolent resistance is more effective than violence and its victories longer lasting. Peaceful spending or even tax cuts for working p...

The Lingering Costs of Clinton’s Libyan War

Clinton Ehrlich notes that the Russian government views Clinton with the utmost contempt: The Russian foreign-policy experts I consulted did not harbor even grudging respect for Clinton. The most damaging chapter of her tenure was the NATO intervention in Libya [bold mine-DL], which Russia could have prevented with its veto in the U.N. Security Council. Moscow allowed the mission to go forward only because Clinton had promised that a no-fly zone would not be used as cover for regime change. Russia’s leaders were understandably furious when, not only was former Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi ousted, but a cellphone recording of his last moments showed U.S.-backed rebels sodomizing him with a bayonet. They were even more enraged by Clinton’s videotaped response to the same news: “We came, we saw, he died,” the secretary of state quipped before bursting into laughter, cementing her reputation in Moscow as a duplicitous warmonger. The Libyan war was an important factor in the...

Trump’s Bloated Military Budget

Trump’s latest speech is getting noticed for his use of more conventional hawkish rhetoric: Donald Trump, in a sharp nod to the conservative foreign policy establishment, called Wednesday for a robust expansion of U.S. military capabilities and an end to budget sequestration on defense spending — which he called essential to national security in an effort to draw contrasts with President Obama and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Trump’s support for increased military spending is not really new, but his specific proposals for new spending do show that he is now fully on board with the usual Republican hawkish fixations. He says he wants to expand the Army, Navy, and Marines, fritter away money on missile defense boondoggles, and scrap sequestration. Trump claimed that this new spending could be paid for by eliminating waste, which is as tiresome as it is stupid. While there is undoubtedly waste in the Pentagon’s budget, it isn’t going to be enough to fund the exorbitant propo...

Pat Caddell on Hillary Clinton: ‘She Keeps Going Back to the Same Lies, and She Gets Away with It’

Pat Caddell spoke to Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow Thursday morning about Wednesday night’s Commander-in-Chief Forum on NBC, saying, “I don’t think she has a narrative to capitalize on, other than, ‘Trump is dangerous, unfit to be commander-in-chief,’ which is hard to make when you’re not showing that you’re in total command yourself,” said Caddell. Caddell also said: I thought as I watched it, I thought, every time she [Hillary Clinton] can’t answer a question–which is almost every time–in one sentence or two, she rambles on, and you can tell she’s lying, she’s lying, she’s lying. Whether it has to do with knowing the facts or not, it’s just what comes across as she’s trying to make things up and throw them in. “She was on the defensive last night,” Caddell said, continuing: She was hit by all sides by different points of the audience, who were very polite to her. Even the man who suggested he would be in prison for doing what she did – the first question ou...

THE COMING LEGITIMACY CRISIS

The wrecking ball that is the Trump campaign has already smashed through the Republican Establishment and “movement conservatism.” The next target is the System itself. And this requires blowing apart the indispensable support of the occupying government—the lying press. Ezra Klein (Is there an echo in here?) says the election is not between Left and Right but between “normal” and “abnormal,” which explains the media’s increasing willingness to dispense with objectivity and openly attack Trump. More importantly, Klein admits that the press is “afraid” of Trump because he “is a threat to the free press as an institution.” Of course, the “free press” is anything but. As we are learning from the Soros leaks , the Narrative of White dispossession promoted by the lying press is simply a product, bought and paid for. Western reporters scream for citizens who criticize mass immigration to be jailed. The Fourth Estate acts as an instrument of repression, serving the interests of those in ...

Clinton calls media coverage of campaign 'frustrating'

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Thursday vented her frustrations with the media’s coverage of her presidential campaign at her first press conference in almost 10 months. Speaking to reporters from a tarmac in White Plains, N.Y., Clinton said that she believes Republican rival Donald Trump is getting more favorable treatment than he deserves. “I’ve been somewhat heartened by articles recently pointing out the disparate treatment of Trump and his campaign compared to ours — I don’t understand the reasons,” Clinton said. “I find it frustrating, but it’s part of the landscape we live in and we keep forging ahead.” "I’m not asking for any special treatment," she added. "I know the road that I’m on. I’ve been on it for 25 years and I just get up and keep moving forward." The Democratic nominee said it is difficult for the press to cover Trump because he says “outrageous things on a regular basis,” but encouraged reporters to hold him to a higher stand...

Trump slams 'lies' about him supporting the Iraq War

Donald Trump on Thursday delivered an extended defense of his opposition to the war in Iraq, charging that rival Hillary Clinton is lying about him initially backing the invasion. The Republican nominee has hammered Clinton for voting in 2002 to authorize the war, citing it as evidence that she lacks the judgment to lead the nation’s armed forces. Clinton has acknowledged her Iraq vote was a mistake and says that as president she will only use military force as a last resort. But at a veterans forum on Wednesday night, Clinton said Trump’s position on the war, at the time, was no different from hers. She said that Trump initially supported the invasion but has since flip-flopped. Trump has been a fierce critic of the war for years, but Democrats are raising questions about when his opposition began.Delivering a speech on education in Cleveland, the billionaire businessman on Thursday accused the media of misrepresenting his position. “Iraq is one of the biggest differences in thi...

Science is One Step Closer to Cloning a Race of Super Humans

Most of us like the idea of superpowers. Though we may never have the strength of Superman, we could be made stronger, faster, and even better looking with total control over our genome, or genetic makeup. What about becoming disease-resistant, weight gain resistant, and even slowing down the aging process? This might be possible in decades to come, as geneticists are now getting ever closer to, not just removing and replacing genes, but rewriting entire genomes. It sounds like the realm of science fiction. Yet, consider that geneticists at Harvard recently recoded the genome of a synthetic E. coli bacteria . Prof. George Church and colleagues conducted the study. Researchers replaced 62,214 base pairs of DNA. What they have done is recreate the DNA from scratch, though they haven’t actually brought the bacteria to life, yet . What was once thought impossible is no longer. This is the first synthetic genome ever assembled, and is being hailed as the most complex feat of genetic eng...

Trump 'Clearly Has Something to Hide,' Says Lady Who Smashed Two Blackberrys With a Hammer

Yes, it's true: Donald Trump won't release his tax returns. This has triggered Hillary Clinton, who holds a PhD in Transparency from ITT Tech and has always been an eager beaver when it comes to disclosing potentially unflattering information to the public — or FBI. Anyway, unlike whatever was stored on the two Blackberrys that Clinton had her aides murder with a hammer, Trump's tax returns are very much our business : "He said that the American people don't care about his tax returns. And in fact, he's also said that it's none of our business. I just think he's dead wrong," Clinton told reporters en route to a campaign event in Tampa, Florida. The knockout blow: Trump "clearly has something to hide." Yeah, probably. But let's not kid ourselves: This is textbook, Freud-approved psychological projection. Last Friday when the FBI revealed that Clinton had curb-stomped her Blackberrys, Trump was quick to remark that "people who ...

Moscow Moves to Block John McCain's Activities in Russia

Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has declared the activities of McCain's International Republican Institute and the Media Development Investment Fund, Inc. to be a security threat and 'undesirable' in the country. Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office said on Thursday the activity of two more foreign NGOs, including the International Republican Institute chaired by US Senator John McCain, is undesirable in Russia. In total, seven NGOs have been named undesirable in Russia. "Today after studying the materials the Prosecutor General’s Office made decisions to consider that the activity of foreign NGOs - the International Republican Institute and the Media Development Investment Fund, Inc. - is undesirable on the territory of Russia," it said. The activity of these organizations poses a threat to the basis of Russia’s constitutional system and security of the state, the press service said. The information on the decision has been sent to Russia’s Justice Minist...

Vladimir Putin’s Prophesies Keep Coming True

Sometimes it’s interesting to re-visit statements by Vladimir Putin that warned of upcoming events, which almost always turned out to be right. His interview from June 4, 2014 is no exception On June 4, 2014 Vladimir Putin was interviewed on Radio Europe 1 and Channel TF1. Kiev’s "anti-terrorist operation" in the Donbass had been going on for two months, a Normandy Four meeting was two days away, and Poroshenko’s inauguration was three days away. The Syrian blitzkrieg and Minsk accords were a long way off. Warning to Poroshenko: halt Kiev’s anti-terrorist operation and start negotiations with the Donbass Poroshenko, who as yet had no blood on his hands, had a unique chance to halt the punitive operation and start a dialogue with the people of southeastern Ukraine. The interview took place on June 4, 2014, almost three months before the defeat of Ukrainian troops near the city of Ilovaisk and eight months before the Debaltsevo disaster. Unfortunately, Poroshenko di...

Three Big Lies That Pervade America's 'News' Media

(This news-report is being submitted to virtually all U.S. national ‘news’ media, almost all of which are the very same ‘news’ media that hide these historical truths, which facts thus remain as «news» in America, since they still haven’t yet been reported as «news», even though they’ve now become history — history that’s suppressed in America.) The Big Lies that pervade the U.S. ‘news’ media are the ones that are essential to sustain in order for the deceived American public to accept the fraudulent basis upon which the U.S. regime of Barack Obama has ‘justified’ his economic sanctions against Russia, and his pouring of U.S. troops and weapons onto and near Russia’s borders: 1: Calling the bloody U.S. coup that overthrew the democratically elected President of Ukraine in February 2014 instead a ‘democratic revolution’ against him, which established ‘democracy in Ukraine,’ instead of established a dictatorship and a civil war there.

IN TURKEY, A CHECHEN COMMANDER MAKES PLANS FOR WAR IN SYRIA

USTAM AZHIYEV, BETTER known as Abdul Hakim, rarely left his apartment building in the Basaksehir district of Istanbul. Originally from Chechnya, Hakim has spent almost his entire life at war, and he is now the head of Ajnad al Kavkaz, or Soldiers of the Caucasus, the largest of the Muslim factions from the former Soviet Union fighting in Syria. It was the fall of 2015, and I wasn’t given our meeting location until I got in the taxi in Istanbul. “Basaksehir, where the big bazaar is located,” my contact told me in Russian over the phone. “You will find it for sure.” I was supposed to call again when I got there and then wait, apparently long enough to make sure that I wasn’t being watched. Istanbul is like a giant waiting hall in a train station. It’s easy to remain anonymous in that constant churn of people entering and exiting the city, and that’s what jihadis intent on going to Syria have done here. Though the exact number is hard to know, there are believed to be thousands o...

BRITNEY SPEARS Threatens to Sue Mag I'M DONE BEING A PUNCHING BAG

Britney Spears wants the media to know ... she's going after you if you tell lies about her, and she's starting with "In Touch." TMZ has obtained a scathing letter Britney's lawyer wrote to the honchos at "In Touch," warning them not to publish a story they're pushing about Britney allegedly acting erratic at last month's MTV Video Music Awards and "talking and laughing to herself and using a British accent." According to the letter, the magazine notified Britney's rep the story will run. Britney's lawyer says it is "utterly false, highly defamatory and completely offensive to Ms. Spears." A source connected with Britney tells TMZ, the singer and her team are sick of "made-up" stories, especially in the face of how hard she's work to turn her life around. They say if the story runs they will absolutely sue the magazine, adding this will be the first of many lawsuits to stop the lies.
